Christian Louboutin ballet pumps

The Design Museum is currently holding an exhibition celebrating the career of iconic French shoe designer Christian Louboutin.

The exhibition showcases twenty years of Louboutin’s shoes with hundreds of them on display of all shapes and sizes that look at the artistry and theatricality of his shoe designs.

He has designed everything from stilettos to lace-up boots, studded sneakers and bejewelled ballet pumps (pictured left) and is a popular choice amongst the rich and famous. Celebrity fans include: Nicole Kidman, Beyonce and Kim Kardashian who are all avid wearers of his signature red soled heels.  [Read more...]
